Barbara D. Ingersoll Ph.D. – Washington D.C.

Barbara D. Ingersoll, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with a private practice in Bethesda, MD who has worked for 35 years with children, adolescents, and adults with learning, attentional, behavioral, and emotional problems. She also held a tenured faculty position at the West Virginia University School of Medicine, where she taught and conducted research for several years.

Dr. Ingersoll lectures nationally and internationally on the diagnosis and treatment of AD/HD and co-existing conditions. She has served on the professional advisory board of CHADD, a national support organization for individuals with AD/HD, and was elected to the CHADD Hall of Fame in 1997. She has also served as a reviewer for several professional journals and has conducted research under a grant from the National Institutes of Health.
