Article in LA Times discusses cognitive training, Cogmed

Posted: June 16, 2011 – An article was published this week in the Los Angeles Times that discussed a study done by Dr. Susanne M. Jaeggi from the University of Michigan. The study showed children improved working memory capacity and fluid intelligence following intensive training on the “n-back” test.

As is stated in the article, “the children who had improved the most on the memory-training task did indeed perform better on the fluid intelligence test.”

The article then goes on to discuss the field of evidence-based cognitive training, mentioning Pearson and Cogmed.
