Young man no longer picks fights after Cogmed

Age: 11
Gender: Male
Location: Nanaimo, British Columbia

This young man, diagnosed with ADHD, had considerable trouble attending to the teacher and his work in school. He also had problems with social behavior. For example, he has two cousins who were two and three years older than him. The cousins came to visit every summer for about two weeks and there was considerable conflict between them. The boy would often pick fights and provoke his cousins and things often ended badly between them.

After the boy did the Cogmed training program, his cousins came for their annual visit and his mother was amazed at how well they had all gotten along together. The boy no longer provoked his cousins but rather cooperated with them and they all got along very well.

Needless to say, his mother was very pleased. She noticed that not only did he get along better with his cousins – he got along better at school with the other children as well.
