New US survey says 10% of children have ADHD

Posted: November 23, 2010 – The results of a recent government survey came out this month showing that 10% of children in America have ADHD. This estimate is higher than previous surveys that have put the number closer to 5-7%. An article released by The Associated Press claimed that the higher percentage is due to partially to increased awareness about the disorder. But they admit it is difficult to say exactly what has caused such a significant increase.
