Study shows first evidence that ADHD is a genetic condition

Published: October 6, 2010 – A study published in The Lancet showed evidence for the first time that ADHD is a genetic disorder. The researchers examined 366 children with ADHD and 1047 normal functioning children as controls. They found that the children with ADHD were more likely to have a genetic variation associated with brain disorders.
