Memory Plus Clinic is under the direction of Barbara D. Ingersoll, Ph.D., Clinical Director. A licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Ingersoll has worked for 35 years with children, adolescents, and adults with learning, attentional, behavioral, and emotional problems.
She held a tenured faculty position at the West Virginia University School of Medicine, where she taught and conducted research for several years.
She has published numerous scientific articles and has authored several books, including Daredevils and Daydreamers: New Perspectives on Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (Doubleday, 1998).
Dr. Ingersoll lectures nationally and internationally on the diagnosis and treatment of AD/HD and co-existing conditions. She has served on the professional advisory board of CHADD, a national support organization for individuals with AD/HD, and was elected to the CHADD Hall of Fame in 1997. She has also served as a reviewer for several professional journals and has conducted research under a grant from the National Institutes of Health.
