Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that causes varying degrees of spontaneous seizures. Children with epilepsy often struggle with cognitive impairments and behavioral issues that, despite their significant negative impact in all aspects of life, are both poorly understood and addressed. Because working memory is a cognitive function that is often impaired in children with epilepsy, researchers are investigating the efficacy of Cogmed training in curbing the negative cognitive and behavioral issues experienced by this population.
