  • Registration is now OPEN and closes on Monday March 31, 2014.

  • Early Bird Registration Fee is $300 and is in effect until Monday March 10, 2014.

  • Starting March 11, 2014, the regular Conference Registration Fee will be $350.

  • Arrival date: Most attendees should plan to arrive on Thursday April 24 by 5:00 PM in order to attend the Welcome Reception at 6:00 PM. The conference begins immediately following breakfast the morning of Friday April 25.

  • Departure date: Most attendees will depart anytime on Sunday April 27. The conference presentations end at 4:45 PM on Saturday April 26 and will be followed by a group dinner ending at approximately 7:30 PM.
Room Rate
  • Please indicate the dates you need to check in/out in the online registration form, and Pearson Event Management will reserve your room for you. Please do not call the hotel directly. All changes/cancellations should be made with Pearson Event Management.

  • Pearson has negotiated a very favorable hotel rate of $159 plus 12.95% tax per room per night (rate increases if more than 2 people in room). There are a limited number of rooms at the negotiated rate held for the Cogmed Conference attendees. Once the block of rooms has been filled, additional rooms at the same rate will be requested, but may not be available. Early registration confirms your room for the negotiated rate.

APA CE or NASP CPD credits

  • Cogmed is pleased to offer continuing education credits for participants who attend Cogmed Conference 2014. =
    • Earn up to 8.75 NASP CPD credits

      Pearson is approved by the National Association of School Psychologists to offer continuing education for school psychologists. Pearson maintains responsibility for the program.

    • Earn up to 8.75 APA CE credits

      Pearson is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Pearson maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

  • Disclosure: Pearson also publishes and sells Cogmed.

  • Note that it is the responsibility of the attendee to make sure his/her badge is scanned upon BOTH entrance and exit of the meeting room. Credits cannot be awarded without this proof of attendance. Certificates will be distributed within 10 business days of the conference.

    • Costs you may incur, but are not limited to, the registration fee, your travel expenses, your hotel room, any meals not covered in the above statement, any additional activities you choose to participate in.

  • Payment Options: Payment is required to complete the registration process. Accepted payment options include:

    • Credit Card: AMEX, VISA, & MasterCard

    • Purchase Order (PO): If utilizing a PO, please make sure it is accessible during the registration process as you will be required to upload it into the system to complete your registration. If you need an invoice prior to creating the PO, please e-mail the Event Management Team to request it: EventManagement@Pearson.com. Be sure to include the name of the conference in the subject line and in the body of the email, include the name and address of the person attending (address should match the PO address). Please allow 24 hours during business hours M-F for a reply.

  • Guest/Significant Other/Spouse:

    • Guest/ Significant Other/Spouse must be registered and pay the registration fee to attend conference sessions, as well as group meals and coffee breaks.

    • If you would like to bring an ADULT Guest/ Significant Other/Spouse to the Welcome Reception on Thursday April 24 or the Group Dinner on Saturday April 26, you must note this when you register and pay an additional fee for his/her attendance. The option to add someone will appear on the portion of registration where you choose your breakouts.

    • Hotel room rates guaranteed for Cogmed Conference attendees do not apply to anyone who has not registered for the meeting and paid the registration fee. There are a limited number of rooms at the negotiated rate held for the Cogmed Conference attendees.

  • Cancellation Policy: The following cancellation policy will be in effect for Cogmed Conference 2014.

    • Cancel by Monday March 10, 2014 = Full refund

    • Cancel beginning Tuesday March 11 until Monday April 7, 2014 = $100 cancel fee

    • Cancel beginning Tuesday April 8 until Wednesday April 16, 2014 = $150 cancel fee

    • Cancel after Wednesday April 16, 2014 = No refund

  • Scottsdale is a sophisticated and hospitable city with plenty of shopping, music, arts, and outdoor activities, commonly defined by its high quality of life and has been named "Most Livable City". Average temperatures in late April range from average highs of 86º during the day and average lows of 52º in the evening.

  • Arrival date: Most attendees should plan to arrive on Thursday April 24 by 5:00 PM in order to attend the Welcome Reception at 6:00 PM. The conference begins immediately following breakfast the morning of Friday April 25th.

  • By Plane: Plan to fly into the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). Please review the agenda tab prior to registering and booking your flight to be sure you are planning your arrival and departure dates correctly. You will be responsible for booking and paying for your own flights.

  • Ground Transportation Options: The Talking Stick Resort Casino is approximately 15 minutes (depending on traffic) from the airport. Transportation costs are at your own expense.

  • Taxi = approximately $45 plus gratuity one way, located in Terminal 2 outside door #8; Terminal 3 outside door #8; Terminal 4 Level 1 outside door #6.

  • SuperShuttle shared van = $21 one way plus gratuity (makes multiple hotel stops), located in Terminal 2 North curbside; Terminal 3 North and South curbside; Terminal 4 Level 1 North and South curbside. Ethics Statement: Pearson is pleased to offer this event for a reduced fee to attendees, including public servants and government employees, when appropriate under applicable laws and ethics rules and policies. Food and beverages with a value of $426 per person (without tax or gratuity) will be provided in connection with this event. This amount exceeds the registration fee.

Pearson is committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct and does not intend to offer an inappropriate gift or create even the appearance of impropriety. To facilitate compliance with any applicable government or organization ethics requirements, Pearson will accept payment of an additional amount which is equal to the difference between the total value of food and beverage and the registration fee.Attendees are encouraged to contact their respective Ethics Officials for guidance to ensure their attendance is permissible and to provide disclosure and obtain pre-clearance, as required. Question: Is there a Conference Registration Fee to attend?

Answer: Yes, the conference registration fee is $350 per person and is payable upon completion of this online registration. The online registration accepts VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, and Purchase Orders. (Note: you will be required to upload the PO as part of the registration process).
