Alaska Neuro/Therapy Center

braindance

Our psychotherapy practices combine depth psychology with applied neuroscience.

While Elaine, as a Jungian analyst, works more with questions of a personal meaning and Al emphasizes applied neurophysiology, we both have a commitment to integrating the two perspectives.

Our logo (a tree that resembles the nervous system), the name “BrainDance,” and the quotation from W. B. Yeats below were chosen to suggest that brain and mind, spirit and matter are inseparable. It is only because the brain dances that we can “find light in dark places.”

“O body swayed to music, O brightening glance, how can we know the dancer from the dance?” – W.B. Yeats, “Among School Children”
