Giving brains a workout

The Toronto Star, Canada’s largest newspaper, published an article about Cogmed and how it’s being used in local schools. The discussion highlights the rising awareness of cognitive training and the fascinating implications of neuroplasticity. The article does a good job of explaining the excitement surrounding the idea of the brain’s plasticity and cognitive training and we believe there is reason to be excited.

Working memory impairment is one of the most common symptoms after acquired brain injury. The difficulties are reported by the patients as impaired concentration. After completed rehabilitation programs many patients still struggle with working memory deficits.
